The key to efficient document storage is good indexing, which you can do yourself before sending your papers to us, or we can come to your home or office to do it for you.

If you're packing boxes yourself, be sure to place A4-size documents in sideways and leave at least two inches of space from the side of the boxes, to make the retrieval process as straightforward as possible.

Once everything is packed neatly inside, use some bubble wrap or crumpled-up newspaper to prevent your documents from moving around and getting damaged during transit. You should also make a note on the box of what's inside, again for easy retrieval purposes.

When you work with Doxbond, you can keep your documents at our storage facility in London for as long as you need.

However, most documents have a maximum retention period, so we'll keep them safe until they're ready to be destroyed. Once their retention period expires, we can securely shred these old documents for you – but only with your permission, of course.
